Driven by a deep devotion to agates, Tino personally cuts, grinds, and polishes most of the stones, bringing out their unique patterns and natural beauty for both new and experienced collectors.

Tino finds it fascinating and exciting to search for agates himself, but anyone who’s tried it knows it can be quite challenging. That’s why most of his stones are purchased as raw material.

Workshop

His workshop is equipped with multiple saws and grinding machines, and through his continually rising standards of quality, he has been able to progressively perfect his processing methods.

Munich Show Case 2025

He showcases and sells some of his agates at trade shows several times a year, sharing his passion for gemstone craftsmanship and the art of polishing agates into stunning, high-quality pieces.

Trip to New Zealand – February 2026

In February 2026, I spent several weeks travelling through New Zealand, exploring its stunning landscapes and searching for agates and petrified wood.
 

From the beautiful Northland region and the Coromandel Peninsula to the famous fossicking areas of Canterbury, the journey offered many exciting geological discoveries.

 

Along the way, I also had the pleasure of meeting old friends, making new connections, and visiting Hokitika, the centre of New Zealand jade (pounamu). Read more ...
